Dear Readers,

Welcome to the April 2022 edition of the Funding Strategies newsletter!

Our Managing Director, Mark Rainbird, recently attended the Growth Capital Forum in Sydney.  He said:

"It was good to be travelling again post the COVID lockdowns.  It highlighted to me that there is a strong, dynamic and committed investment community in Australia and it was good to catch up with the community face-to-face.

There were strong themes around technology, healthcare, ESG and debt funding.  I also learned about “Search Funds” that support founders purchasing existing companies."

We have seen both issuer and investor momentum continue to build during February and March and expect this to continue.  We are currently negotiating an number of investment Terms Sheets for our clients and expect to be able to appropriately announce those in the coming months.  We continue to consistently raise finance for our clients and we have seen a large increase in investment compared with the last quarter – presumably the effects of Covid are subsiding.

Funding Strategies’ investors have also had some profitable exits and increases in valuations recently and it is always good to receive the happy news.

TARHF Update (Project Triplex)

Trinity Accommodation Regional Hospitality Fund III releases March 2022 Quarter Report

"Put in perspective, TARHF (all funds) made more money over the past 2 years than several major hotel chains (with lots of capital city properties). This nicely validates our regional strategy.

We are currently pursuing a number of potential acquisitions and expect to announce a new acquisition (or more than one if fundraising goes well) in the next quarter."
