Dear Readers,
Welcome to the May 2022 edition of the Funding Strategies newsletter!
|
We live in changing and interesting times with forces
buffeting the economy and businesses. We have seen supply chain issues;
tight labour markets, higher energy prices, inflation now above the target
range* (and not forecast to return
to the target range until mid-to-late 2024), the war in Ukraine, COVID lockdowns
in China, volatility in the financial markets and we have an upcoming Federal
Election.
Fortunately, experienced managers have been through similar
cycles before and we expect good companies and investors to take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves moving forward.
Funding
Strategies continues to assist growing and profitable companies to access
strategic advice, capital and finance in these uncertain times.
|
We are looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming Small Business Expos:
- Gold Coast Small Business Expo: Thursday 16 June 2022 – Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, Beattie Road, Coomera – 10am to 3:30pm;
- Brisbane Small Business Expo: Thursday 6 October 2022 – Nissan Arena, 590 Mains Road, Nathan – 10am to 3:30pm.

New Testimonial
"Funding Strategies introduced me to this opportunity as part of a growth funding round. I happily invested realising that the founders, Travis and Bianca Brown would remain part of the company. Mark explained the deal, opportunity and potential risks and I invested as a diversified wholesale investor.
The process was efficient and together, the company was built over the next three years with an exit of multiple of invested capital.
Another great deal done. Thanks for the invitation to participate Mark."

McCormick Harris Insurance Update
"Have you got the right cover to match your business growth?
|
|
|
|
|
Businesses are constantly changing and growing, so if your business is enjoying a growth spurt, congratulations.
But a changing business climate often means new insurance requirements.
Here's what you need to do about your insurance cover to ensure your business has adequate ongoing protection. This will help reduce your risks of being over or underinsured. Keep in mind that research shows business growth is particularly risky for SMEs.
